This is a Simon game played on mini trampolines: the trampolines light up in a pattern, and the player jumps in response. This is actually Revenge of Trampoline Simon, I made the first version a few years ago for the Cyberbuss Costume Ball, but the police made me shut it down after like an hour. And not for the obvious reasons: they decided that of all the things going on at that party, the big fire hazard was the extension chord running to my Simon game. Boobs.

Anyway, that version was somewhat limited since I wired directly into an actual Simon game, connecting relays to the outputs to trigger my lights. It worked great, but it gave me no flexibility: if I wanted to change anything about the gameplay at all (for example, give people a bit more time to respond to the pattern), no dice.

Hence Revenge of Trampoline Simon, which I coded from scratch. Now I can set every aspect of the play, from how long the pattern is, to how fast the computer shows you it, to the various delays.

Manchmal habe ich Ideen mit einer gewissen Herausforderung – oder eben verrückt wie manche Leute sagen. Dieses Mal dachte ich über unsere Katze nach die den ganzen Tag draußen unterwegs ist. Sie kommt manchmal hungrig zurück, manchmal nicht, manchmal mit Kampfspuren, manchmal dreckig und manchmal bleibt sie auch die ganze Nacht weg.
Wenn die Katze dann endlich zurück kommt frage ich mich was er (Mr. Lee ist ein Kater) denn die ganze Zeit gemacht hat und wo er war. Dies brachte mich auf die Idee die Katze mit einer Kamera auszurüsten. Der Plan war eine kleine Kamera an seinem Hals zu befestigen die alle paar Minuten ein Foto machen sollte. Wenn er dann zurück kommt würde die Kamera seinen Tag zeigen

CatCam: Trip 1

1. Increase contrast.
2. Select the right wall of the maze using the magic wand.
3. Select > Modify > Expand 4 pixels
4. Create new layer.
5. Fill with Red.
6. Select > Modify > Contract 2 pixels.
7. Delete. Now you’ve got a line tracing the solution.
8. Manually clean up the outer edge, and connect the dots.
9. Cake!’
